Malik Balogun wins CU Student Body President on March 10th

Brother Balogun becomes the third African American to be elected to the position at Clemson

Clemson, South Carolina: Brother Malik Balogun (Spring 2021, 10 Kings of a Golden Realm) won the election for Clemson University Student Body President on March 10, 2022, with his running mate (Vice President) Julia Boulin. This marks only the third time an African American has won the position since Reginald "Reggie" Brantley won the office in 1974. More than 6,100 votes were cast in the election and Bro. Balogun's tickets won more than two-thirds of the votes with 4,037 votes.

"I am very grateful to all of my supporters and my running mate, Julia, for their support, and wish to congratulate my opponents for running a great and respectful race," said new CUSG President-Elect Balogun, who starts his administration in the Fall semester of 2022. "I had great support from my fraternity and its alumni and want to thank them for all their efforts."
