The Passing of Brother Eric Israel Stukes [updated 4/18/26]
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Eric Israel Stukes on April 12, 2026, following a series of recent health challenges. Brother Stukes was initiated into the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. at Pi Alpha Chapter in Spring 2001 as a member of “The Ice Cold Saga.” Line on March 31, 2001. Eric , 44, is son of the late Rosemary Stukes Jones was born on January 11, 1982 in Columbia, SC. He departed this life on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at Piedmont Hospital, Atlanta, GA.
Eric was a man of remarkable commitment and dedication. His life was defined by the many roles he faithfully embraced—son, brother, uncle, Christian servant, friend, small group member, international traveler, fraternity brother, program manager, and so much more. His impact was far-reaching, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Plans to formally honor and celebrate Eric’s life are currently being finalized. Details will be shared by Legacy Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Georgia, and Job’s Mortuary in Sumter, South Carolina, as they become available.

There are links on the funeral home page to send flowers, plant trees, etc. but the family hasn't specified anything.
The Saga has been discussing some options to do something long-term in his memory but for now I'd recommend following your heart and sending cards or flowers via the funeral home.
If you do want to donate in his memory, he loved Clemson Athletics and the Tiger Band, and the American Heart Association would also be a great option.
