The Passing of Brother Ralph Nathaniel Pinnock, Jr.

It's with great sorrow that we inform you that Clemson University undergraduate Bro. Ralph N. Pinnock, Jr., #1 (The Triumvirate) Spring 2005, entered the Omega chapter on the afternoon of December 8, 2007 due to a motorcycle accident on S.C. Hwy 28 near Wahalla, SC. Bro. Pinnock (21) was a fourth year senior majoring in Chemical Engineering planning to graduate in May 2009. Born in Florence, S.C., he was the son of Ralph N. and Connie E. Pinnock of Rockwall, TX.

Ralph was the current Vice President of the Pi Alpha Chapter, and a member of the recent 2007 Scholars Bowl Champion Team. Assistant Attorney General on the Clemson University Student Judicial Board, played in the Clemson Univ. Symphony Orchestra, member of MLK Enhancement Committee, played intramural sports, was a Peer Mentor and member of the Intercollegiate Club soccer team.

Surviving in addition to his parents are sisters, Kelly P. Hall (Ron) of Clarksville, TN, Tracy E. Pinnock of Columbia, SC; 2 nephews, Ke’Ron and Ro’Mel Hall; maternal grandmother, Catherine T. Barnes, Branchville, VA, Godmother, Lenard Tucker, Ettrick,VA; girlfriend, Franchesca Pearson of Winnsboro, SC and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pi Alpha and Clemson University are mourning this tragic loss to both of our families. Ralph was definitely an extraordinary gentleman and a Brother with the mission of serving mankind on his heart! Please join us in offering our prayers and condolences to the Pinnock family in their time of need.

Viewing and Funeral Services

A public viewing of Bro. Pinnock was held from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home in Central, SC.

Funeral services for Bro. Pinnock were held at 2:30 PM on Friday, December 14, 2007 at Bostick & Tompkins Funeral Home in Columbia, SC. Brothers conducted an Omega Service for Bro. Pinnock at the beginning of the service. Bro. Pinnock will be buried in Virginia according to his family wishes.

Donations & Condolences

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ralph Pinnock’s name to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Fund (http://www.mlkmemorial.org)
