Post date: Feb 06, 2019 12:35:36 AM

Deadline is March 15, 2019

Brothers,

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.. develops leaders, promotes brotherhood and academic excellence while providing service and advocacy for our communities. As Clemson University Alpha Brothers, we have an opportunity to support a great cause focused on Men of Color. Clemson University Office of Inclusion and Equity will be hosting the 3rd Annual Men of Color National Summit in Greenville, SC on April 25-26, 2019 to target the achievement gap for African-American and Hispanic males, from cradle to career. PANAC was a proud and visible presence at the inaugural event in 2017 and now is the time to renew our commitment.

The event will bring together approximately 2,000 high school and college students, business professionals, educators, government officials and community leaders from around the country, the summit will emphasize the importance of education, best practices and choices to increase high school and college graduation rates. The national conference will lead to awareness of the changing U.S. demographics by enhancing the experience of men of color through involvement and engagement, preparing them for a global mindset.

We are seeking the Brothers’ support as sponsors for a table of 10 for this event. A sponsored table of $2,000 table provides the following:

  • Admission for 10 people on both days of the summit and keynote luncheons on both days

  • In addition to attendance at the summit and luncheons, purchasing a table will also help to provide support for the 400 members of the summit’s high school cohort — Tiger Alliance. Tiger Alliance is a group of ninth-, 10th- and 11th-graders that Clemson University will work to mentor and engage until their high school graduation.

We currently have several PANAC members committed to attend in various capacities and roles. We hope you will be able to attend and/or support sponsorship that will allow current undergraduate brothers of Pi Alpha to join the event. The goal is to secure the table by March 1st. Please find the link below available for brothers to learn more about the summit and to donate towards the table sponsorship:
