Clemson, South Carolina - Clemson University has posted a detailed feature article about how the Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Service was started at Clemson University. The article prominently discusses Alpha's role in the initial service in 1982 and how the service has developed over the last 33 years.

The article refers to the first MLK Commemorative Service in Tillman Hall Auditorium, which was then newly renovated. Two PANAC brothers featured in the article are Professor Kenneth Robinson, current Clemson professor and Emeritus Convener of PANAC, and the current President of Pi Alpha, JaQuanas Grant. The first event was organized as a fundraiser for Fisk University.

The article leads a week full of events starting with the newly re-established Civil Rights Trip to Tuskegee University (January 16-18), MLK Day of Service (January 19), and 2015 MLK Commemorative Service on January 20. Current Tuskegee University President and Alpha Brother, Dr. Brian L. Johnson, will be the featured speaker for the event.
