Clemson South Carolina - Clemson University Office of Diversity along with Clemson Alumni Association, IPTAY, Clemson University Foundation and Clemson Black Alumni Council have announced a series of events and exhibits to celebrate the 50 Year celebration of Integration at Clemson.

The effort includes fourteen different events to celebrate Clemson University's rich history of integration since Havery Gantt's admission in 1963. Harvey Gantt was the first African-American student admitted to Clemson in Architecture and later become the first African-American Mayor of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Starting in this month (August), there will be featured speakers on several topics, photo exhibits on different aspects on the Clemson history integration and a cumulating banquet in January 2013. These events are in addition the normal Martin Luther King Celebration events traditionally planning in January. Below is a completed listing of the events and exhibits plan for campus. PANAC has added a listing of all the 50 Year of Integration events and exhibits to the PANAC site as an optional calendar.
